Fence & Deck Carpenter / Installer (Experienced)
Fernhill Fencing — London, ON (and surrounding area)
Pay: $22–$35/hr (based on experience) + bonuses + Health spending account available.

The Role

Fernhill Fencing is hiring an experienced carpenter/installer to build high-quality fences and decks. We’re looking for someone reliable, professional with customers, and proud of their work. If you like showing up on time, working with a solid crew, and building projects that look sharp and last—this is for you.

Successful candidate can start immediately, we do indoor renovations during the winter.

What You’ll Do
Build and install wood fences, chain link, privacy fences, gates, and decks (depending on experience)
Measure, cut, frame, and assemble accurately using hand/power tools
Work from plans/sketches and communicate clearly with the crew lead
Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized
Represent Fernhill well onsite: respectful, skilled, customer-aware
Load/unload materials and help keep tools/materials tracked

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves
Experience in carpentry / framing / fence or deck installation




Comfortable using common tools (saws, drills/impacts, levels, layout tools, etc.)
Physically able to lift materials and work outdoors
Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
Robust attendance and dependable communication

Nice-to-haves
Apprenticeship/trade school
Leadership potential (running small jobs, mentoring helpers)
Broader experience (renos, framing, finishing, concrete, etc.)
