This is a regular part‑time role, requiring 21 hours per week (3 days).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESKey Responsibilities: Project CoordinationManages projects, events, initiatives such as consultations, capacity building, and investment portfoliosMaintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedulesDocumenting and following up on key actions and decisions from meetingsReconciles program budgets and identifies to the Manager potential risks and mitigations strategiesCoordinates grant investments, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and reporting on a regional portfolioAssists with implementing engagement strategies and tactics that ensure consistent and open communications, and mutual understanding of mandates and goalsParticipates in mobilizing the community networks to address issues in the identified portfoliosRepresents United Way on relevant task forces and networksKey Responsibilities: Relationship ManagementFacilitates the relationships between community stakeholders and United Way BC (UWBC) regional initiativesLiaises between UWBC, partner organizations and community agencies,



providing information and organizational development assistanceAssists with implementing engagement strategies and tactics that ensure consistent and open communications, and mutual understanding of mandates and goalsRepresents United Way on relevant task forces and networksGeneralPerforms other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the jobMay participate in supporting regional operational requirements (e.G. fundraising activities, office operations, etc.)QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducationMinimum two (2) year diploma in Social Sciences or similar disciplineUniversity degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperienceMinimum three (3) years relevant experience, including: research, analysis, and report and proposal writing; experience working withpopulations relevant to the areaDirect organizational development, program management, and social planning experienceExperience with the social/non-profit sector, desirableProject management experience and experience working with volunteers at various levels throughout the communitySkillsStrong project management skills (e.G. planning, implementation, coordination, risk management, follow‑up, reporting), including ability to collaborate with each stakeholder to ensure timely project completionStrong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills including the ability to understand broader implications of plans and activitiesDemonstrated ability to provide accurate and timely information under tight deadlinesProven proficiency with MS Office and relevant technology (databases, spreadsheets, project management, etc.)Demonstrated grant development, fund distribution, and measurement and monitoring skills.



Ability to link community needs with innovative actions that support social development and capacity‑buildingFacilitation and group problem‑solving skills.
