Earthworks Supervisor / Excavator Operator

Our client is looking for an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to oversee commercial and industrial excavation projects in Airdrie, Calgary, and the surrounding areas. The Excavation Site Supervisor leads and manages excavation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate excavation crews to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Ensure all work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.
Attend project meetings to provide input and proactively identify solutions for project success.
Inspect equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.




Train and mentor crew members to uphold safety and performance standards.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Coordinate with surveyors and engineers to verify grades and site layouts.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience operating excavators, skid steers, or related heavy equipment.
Robust understanding of blueprints, grading, and surveying principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Proficiency in using computers and construction-related software.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work additional hours or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
