Are you ready to kickstart a career in woodworking and manufacturing? We’re seeking motivated individuals to join our team as the Sawmill Operator — no prior experience necessary! Machinery and or chainsaw / woodworking experience a critical asset. This is an exciting prospect to join a fun team of urban tree recyclers, that turns Winnipegs trees into quality home furnishings. As a Sawmill Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming raw trees into high-quality lumber, supporting construction projects, and contributing to sustainable manufacturing processes. We provide comprehensive training to help you develop the skills needed to succeed and grow within our company.

Responsibilities
Assist with operating sawmill machinery, including band saws and chainsaws following safety protocols and instructions
Learn to measure and inspect wood products
Support the setup and maintenance of equipment such as sawmill, power tools, and woodworking tools




Handle materials safely using forklifts , skidsteers and warehouse equipment, ensuring proper stacking and storage of lumber
Participate in routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of machinery to maintain optimal operation
Support carpentry and construction-related tasks as needed, gaining hands-on experience in woodworking techniques

Experience
No prior sawmill experience required — we train from the ground up!
Familiarity with woodworking or metal tools, chainsaws and machinery a must.
Skid-steer and or forklift experience an asset.
Must have a positive attitude and hungry to learn and grow.
Pay: $20.75-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
