The Tank Welder is responsible for operating welding equipment to repair and/or fabricate tank structures at our client’s location. This role travels across the country to different client’s sites and reports to the on-site CT&V; Project Manager or Superintendent for that site. Shifts schedule changes depending on our client (8 to 12 hours/day). The welder must meet all site requirements before being deployed to the site.
What you will do:
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Prepare workpieces using grinders and other tools.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
Perform Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) as required.
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Select appropriate welding processes, tools, and materials for each task.
Assist in fit-up, alignment, and weld preparation.
Complete all daily safety documentation accurately.
Work at heights and in confined spaces.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including kneeling, squatting, bending, and handling equipment weighing up to 60 lbs (e.g., welders, hoses, wire reels).
Qualifications:
Robust commitment to safety in all work practices.
Valid FCAW and SMAW CWB all-position tickets.
Journeyperson Welder Certification (preferred).
WHMIS 2015 certification.
Fall Protection certification (asset).
Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training (asset).
CSTS 2020 (asset).
Confined Space Entry training (asset).
Common Safety Orientation (asset).
Ability to pass pre-employment and site-specific drug and alcohol screening.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$67.00 per hour
