Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Third Class Power Engineer to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the facility’s power generation and distribution systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient energy supply. As a Third Class Power Engineer, you will play a key part in supporting our operations by applying your mechanical knowledge and technical expertise to uphold the highest standards of safety and performance in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and gain valuable experience.
Duties
Operate and monitor boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and other heavy equipment essential for power generation and distribution
Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems to ensure optimal functioning
Assist with the protected handling and heavy lifting of equipment components during maintenance or installation procedures
Maintain detailed logs of operational data, system performance, and maintenance activities for reporting purposes
Support emergency response procedures by quickly addressing system failures or safety incidents
Collaborate with team members to perform scheduled inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently to support plant operations and maintenance tasks
Requirements
MUST have a current valid Third Class Power Engineer certification
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of power plant systems and equipment
Experience working in an industrial sector is highly preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
Competence in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, or other machinery used in industrial settings
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting operational issues
Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks in a quick-paced environment while adhering to safety standards

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
