Job Description
The Chance
DF Barnes Industrial is currently seeking an experienced Coatings Technician to join our highly skilled team supporting maintenance operations at the Vale Long Harbour site.
Job Duties
Select appropriate coatings and other related mixes required for determined repairs
Work with different coatings materials such as fusion-bonded epoxy, polyethylene, or polyurethane
Operate or tend equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, or otherwise prepare items for applications of protective coatings
Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment
Apply protective coatings to pipelines
Monitor the application process to ensure even distribution of coatings
Maintain a clean and organized work workplace to comply with health and safety regulations
Job Requirements
High school diploma
Vocational training in a related field
Knowledge of industrial technology would be beneficial
