We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Welders with proven tank fabrication experience to join our team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality hand welding in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform precise welds, and work efficiently in a field setting. Fitting experience is a major asset, as candidates may be required to assist with fit-up and alignment of structural and tank components.
We offer competitive wages of $40.00 – $50.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
Interpret welding process specifications
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
Perform hand welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment (no rig welding)
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
Determine weldability of materials
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications
Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Able to work overtime when applicable to meet deadlines
Credentials
Journeyman welder ticket is an asset
Minimum 2nd year apprentice (required)
Tank fabrication experience is an asset
Additional safety tickets is an asset (confined space, Fall arrest, CSTS, etc).
sub arc operating experience is an asset
