Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable Long Haul Truck Drivers to transport freight safely and on time over long distances. The job requires operating heavy-duty trucks, handling freight, following safety rules, and maintaining a skilled attitude. Experience in commercial truck driving is an asset.

Responsibilities
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Pay: $37.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
