The OpportunityWe are seeking a Research Accounts Support Officer (RASO) to join the Scholarship, Research, Creative and Innovation (SRCI) section of the School of Medicine. The RASO will provide research account support for SRCI activities and for clinical faculty and researchers within the School of Medicine.Responsibilities IncludeCoordinates and provides senior administration and analytical support to Principal Investigators on research financial matters, budgetary planning and activities, and research staff hiring.Coordinates, monitors and reports on financial activities of accounts.Develops, evaluates and provides recommendations on processes and workflows.Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsCompletion of a post‑secondary degree program in business administration, finance, accounting or a related field.Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a post‑secondary or research hospital workplace and with health research funding (a plus).Experience in financial administration for grants, contracts or project budgets.Experience developing and assessing office procedures and practices.Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
