Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your ability to handle heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs, will ensure timely deliveries and maintain the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs to ensure seamless communication and record-keeping
Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime
Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate freight movement efficiently and accurately
Follow all company policies regarding safety procedures, hours of service, and cargo handling protocols
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is a plus
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy-duty truck operation and freight transportation
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, perform inspections, and handle equipment as required

Pay: $20.75-$35.00 per hour
