Specific Responsibilities:
Seamers are responsible for communications to the other shifts and with the maintenance department. Communication involves passing on of problems (process or mechanical) encountered during shift and actions taken to resolve them.
Responsible for seam set-up according to written instructions and previous experience.
Pass the yarn in the harness according to the specifications (follow preset instructions) and test for proper installation and quality.
Operates the seaming machine, as it is running and repair minor defects as they occur.
Produces seams of consistent quality,



through observation and elimination of any inconsistencies.
Ensures seam tails are clipped as necessary.
Fixes routine mechanical problems as they arise. More complicated repairs are referred to the Maintenance Team Leader.
Records vital information on the production sheets such as amount of production, process and mechanical problems and brings any problems to the attention of the Production Team Leader.
Works efficiently with a focus on continuous improvement
Practices safety and with valuable housekeeping habits.
And all other tasks required by the production team leader.
