General Labourer – Residential Renovations

Holmes Build Co. is looking for a dependable, hardworking General Labourer with construction experience to join our growing team.

This position will focus specifically on residential renovations and restoration projects. The successful candidate will work alongside our construction team renovating homes and helping take projects from demolition through to completion.

Responsibilities
Assist with residential renovation and restoration projects
Interior demolition and removal of existing materials
Framing, drywall and general carpentry work
Installation of flooring, trim, doors and other finishing materials
Assist with kitchen and bathroom renovations
Exterior renovation work as required
Measure, cut and install construction materials
Load, unload and move tools and building materials
Maintain clean, organized and secure job sites
Operate common hand and power tools safely
Assist skilled trades and other crew members as required
Complete a variety of general construction tasks as projects progress

Qualifications
Previous construction or renovation experience is required
General knowledge of residential construction practices
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Basic carpentry skills are strongly preferred




Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying construction materials
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and willing to take direction
Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred
Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional job site

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to work, can think on their feet and takes pride in seeing a project come together. Renovation work changes from day to day, so we're looking for someone who is versatile, willing to learn and comfortable tackling different types of construction work.

Experience is important, but so are reliability, attitude and workmanship.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
