Job Title: Driver / Yard Worker (Manual Transmission Required)
Location: Coquitlam, BC (supporting a client facility in Vancouver)
Job Type: Full‑Time | Permanent
Pay: $25.00 per hour to start, increasing to $27.00/hour once fully independent in the role.

We are currently hiring a Driver / Yard Worker for our client, operating a busy scrap metal facility serving the Lower Mainland in Vancouver. This role is a mix of driving and hands-on yard work and is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and working in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive company trucks, pick up and box truck (automatic) flat deck and dump truck (manual transmission) to pick up and transport scrap metal
Load, secure, and unload materials safely and efficiently
Follow dispatch schedules and routing instructions
Complete required paperwork (pre‑trip inspections, packing slips, scale tickets)
Inspect loads for safety and compliance
Support yard operations when not on the road
Guide customers and assist with loading/unloading as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company health and safety procedures





Equipment & Tools:
Forklifts
Basic power tools

Work Setting:
Industrial, outdoor yard setting
Physically active role involving lifting and moving materials
Company trucks are older models
Work is hands‑on and operational in nature
Some days may be more yard‑focused, others more driving‑focused

Requirements:
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Clean driving abstract
Manual transmission driving experience (required)
Solid English communication skills
Physically capable of performing labor‑based tasks
Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
