We're looking for a patient, energetic, and hands-on Woodworking Workshop Instructor to lead children's woodworking sessions. You'll guide children through fun, age-appropriate projects using child-safe tools and materials while ensuring every participant has a safe, engaging, and rewarding experience.
Responsibilities
Lead woodworking workshops for children ages 4–10.
Demonstrate safe and proper use of child-friendly woodworking tools.
Prepare materials and set up workstations before each session.
Supervise children throughout the workshop and provide individual guidance.
Encourage creativity, teamwork, and independent thinking.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times.
Clean and organize the workshop area after each class.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of workshop supplies.
Communicate with parents and answer questions about the program.
Assist with special events, camps, birthday parties, and other Adventure Bay activities when needed.
Qualifications
Experience working with children is preferred.
Interest or experience in woodworking, DIY projects, carpentry, crafts, or maker activities is an asset.
Comfortable using basic hand tools and teaching children in a protected workplace.
Patient, enthusiastic, dependable, and positive.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain one).
