Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, goal-driven Construction Superintendent to immediately fill an open position in Spencer, Iowa. The Superintendent will provide on-site leadership and management for commercial construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires hands-on construction experience and the ability to oversee all phases of the project lifecycle.

This is a direct-hire position.

What you will be doing as a Superintendent …

- Provide day-to-day on-site management and supervision of commercial construction projects
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, labor crews, materials, and equipment
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain compliance with all safety regulations

• Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying and resolving issues proactively • Perform or assist with construction tasks as needed, including: - Demolition and site preparation

- Earthwork and grading
- Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete
- Layout and framing of structures
- Installation of subfloors, walls, and ceilings




- Steel and precast erection
- Metal stud framing and carpentry

- Welding and signaling equipment operators • Maintain explicit communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Superintendent …

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or lead role on commercial construction projects • Proven experience with site supervision of project bids of $5 million or above: - Concrete footings, foundations, and slab-on-grade (SOG)

- Steel and precast erection

- Metal stud framing and carpentry • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and jobsite best practices

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Reliable, self-motivated, and results-oriented work ethic
