Lock-Block Ltd. continues to win new contracts; our company is growing! We are looking for a Skilled Labourer/Operator to work in our aggregate crushing department. Reporting to the Crushing Supervisor, Skilled Labourer/Operator will be responsible for helping to run the crushing plant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate a small excavator with a muncher attachment to crush concrete as well as a Liebherr mini-excavator and skid steer.
- Operate loaders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce mechanical breakdowns and longevity of the loaders.
- Learn to operate the primary crusher and wash plant.
- Complete and submit the daily equipment inspection form and immediately report any defects that may jeopardize the safe operation of equipment.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and clean-up when needed.
- May operate a vacuum truck.
- Maintain the disk filter. Other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience operating mini-excavators and skid-steers.
- Experience operating front-end loaders.
- Experience working in a precast operations is an asset.
- Experience driving/operating a vacuum truck is an asset.
- Reliable with an excellent attendance record.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions.
- A high commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
- MUST be comfortable working in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs with each hand and up to 50 lbs with both hands
- Must has a valid BC's driver's license
Job Status: Full-time- 35-40 hours per week; Mon-Fri with the occasional Saturday shift Compensation: $24- $28 per hour, depending on your experience.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
