Full-Time Permanent Dental Receptionist / AssistantRECEIVING APPLICATIONS FROM: March 23, 2026 - April 7, 2026DescriptionBusy, client-focused dental office located in a Community Health Centre in Port Hope, seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-orientedDental Receptionist / Assistantto join our team. This is primarily a dental receptionist position, but some assisting will be required. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both front desk coordination and clinical support.Reception Duties:Greet and check in patients in a warm, skilled mannerManage appointment scheduling and confirmationsProcess payments, insurance claims, and pre-authorizationsHandle phone calls, emails, and patient inquiriesAssist the dentist during proceduresPrepare and sterilize instruments in accordance with IPAC standardsSet up and break down operatoriesTake digital radiographsEnsure patient comfort and provide post-operative instructionsProfessional Development:Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning and participation in educational opportunities.Demonstrate openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.ExperienceQualifications:Dental Reception and Dental Assisting experience neededCompletion of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting programPassing the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB)
examHARP CertificationKnowledge and understanding of IPAC sterilization and infection control protocolsStrong knowledge of dental terminology and proceduresExperience with dental software (Tracker is an asset)Excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentA positive attitude and team-oriented mindsetSalary – $26-$28/hour based on experience.Hours – Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 5:15 pm – 37.5 hours/weekPlease note, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
