About Simon Lift Systems Inc.:

Simon Lift Systems is an established Calgary high-reach equipment rental company specializing in boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers.

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman HET / Shop Foreman to lead a small team of technicians and apprentices.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate must have practical experience working on booms, scissor lifts and telehandlers, along with the ability to organize shop workflow, prioritize repairs and keep equipment moving efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be required to do specific duties and responsibilities as follows:
Lead and assign daily work to technicians and apprentices.
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Provide hands-on technical support on complex repairs
Prioritize repairs based on operational requirements
Mentor and train apprentices and developing technicians
Ensure equipment is repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Maintain an organized, productive shop with minimal downtime and rework
Support field service when required

Requirement:




Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician – Provincial or Red Seal
On-Road or Off-Road HET certification accepted
Hands-on experience with boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers
Robust electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagnostic skills
Experience leading, mentoring or directing technicians
Solid organization, communication and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's licence

Pay: $45.00-$47.00 per hour

Experience:
mechanical transportation: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Trade Certificate (preferred)
Journeyman Certificate (required)
