Minami Toronto is looking to grow our team with passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to working in a quick-paced kitchen setting. We are looking for Kitchen cooks to join our team.

Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Execute dishes up to restaurant standard and in a timely manner
Responsible for ensuring food and safety protocol is met
Stock and maintain sufficient levels of prep at all times to ensure a smooth service flow
Ensuring quality checks of dishes are up to restaurant standard
Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation including the line station, preparation area and refrigeration equipment
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional work setting
Closing duties (i.e. garbage disposal, sweep/mop kitchen floors)
Report to the Head Chef and Sous chef, and being eager to learn and prepares,



innovative and signature dishes served at Minami.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in high-paced kitchen environment and/or we are willing to train the right candidate
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and knife skills
Experience in Japanese cuisine is an asset
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
A passion for Japanese and Asian culinary art and flavours
Ability to handle stress, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Motivated and quick learner.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
