Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our team over the winter holidays (November-December). The ideal candidates will have a passion for chocolates and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a vital part of our small store , you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. There are opportunities to expand your duties to include working as a chocolatier in the future and a possibility of continuing on after the holiday season concludes.

Responsibilities
Greet and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions regarding food and beverages.
Ensure food safety standards are upheld throughout service.
Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including processing payments and providing change.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining tables, and service stations.
Manage dishes and maintain a continuous supply of clean tools and customer service items.
Assist in managing wait times and guest flow during busy periods.




Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages, assisting in the creation of them.
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience, and periodically checking in on their experiences.

Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members with a bright personality.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but training will be provided for the right candidates.
