and allied health professionals to provide direct patient care to surgical patients in hospital. The Pharmacist will ensure that treatment is rational, safe, cost-effective and aligned with the person’s healthcare goals and preferences. The Surgery Pharmacist will support the patients and the team by ensuring safe and evidence based care throughout their stay. Additional duties include patient counseling, medication monitoring, student mentoring, drug utilization reviews, liaison with Community Pharmacists and education/drug information, participation in research.About YouGraduate of a recognized School of PharmacyEligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator (NSPR)Completion of a Hospital pharmacy residency program and/or equivalent related direct patient care experience (minimal 2 years) in a hospital setting preferredBLS (Basic Life Support)
