The successful candidate can be based at any one of our offices: Toronto, Guelph, Kitchener, Oakville, Windsor, Chatham, Hamilton, London, Kingston & Ottawa.We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likeProject Management & DesignManagement of transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, bridge, electrical and water resource engineers, transportation systems planners, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff, etc.)Continuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase servicesLead the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of transportation designs, including EA documentationLead the preparation of contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimatesManagement and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentationsProvide regular and effective communication with clients, develop and oversee project budgets and take overall responsibility for successful project deliveryBusiness DevelopmentPrepare estimates and project proposalsTake a leading role in maintaining the MTO client relationshipIdentify and develop new business opportunities,



in collaboration with other project managersContribute to the leadership of the Transportation Facilities GroupBusiness travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon requestLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self‑development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in skilled associations and committeesQualificationsWhat you will need to succeedA degree in civil engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of OntarioA minimum of 15 years related work experienceProven leadership and business development capabilitiesExperienceProven experience with the MTO environmental assessment process, and preliminary/detail design of provincial facilities infrastructurePrevious experience with alternative project delivery modelsDemonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teamsExceptional abilities in project managementProven skills in public and agency consultationProficiency using Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google SuiteStrong verbal and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of technical memos and reportsCompensationSalary: $170,000/year – $220,000/year. Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
