This essential role, guided by the Settlement and Family Support Director, is for those with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-2 years of counseling experience. Your focus will be to provide settlement services that help clients navigate the complexities of adapting to a recent life. Fluency in clients’ languages enhances service delivery and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate initial settlement services for immigrants • Guide clients towards self-sufficiency through counseling • Provide services in clients’ native or common languages • Liaise with other community services for comprehensive support • Engage in continual professional training opportunities
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or psychology • 1-2 years of experience in counseling • Acceptable alternative qualifications considered • Training in life skills counseling beneficial • Strong commitment to multicultural service delivery
