As a member of Kinark’s Supervised Access Program, the Resource Worker manages client related processes and services under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.

The Resource

Worker works collaboratively with clients, the legal and social services’ community and the Supervised Access team, ensuring clear and concise communication. This engagement continues throughout the client’s service experience. Attention to factual documentation and avoiding opinion is paramount. The successful candidate will be required to work versatile schedule including early evenings and some weekends in an Office/Centre setting.

This position is covered by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 355 group.

Hourly rate: Level I:$27.78; Level II:$29.07; Level III:$30.42

As per the collective agreement, internal applicants will be considered first.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responds, processing referrals through registration, intake, orientation to service decisions, scheduling, report writing.
Manages data base, electronic file notes and service specific documents.




Works with key community partners and collaterals that intersect with Supervised Access.
Tracks and manages recovers, including fees for reports, letters.
Attentive to ensuring safety of all participants including SAP team is addressed.
Engage in and/or redirects difficult conversations to ensure service demands, complaints, safety risks and critical incidents are addressed.
Facilitates direct service between parents/significant others and their children aligning with service agreements and court orders

Qualifications
Requires completion of Community College Diploma/Social Services or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year practical related experience is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
Competent IT experience
CPR/First Aid Certified
Conflict Resolution and Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification or equivalent
Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset.
