The Opportunity:
The Building Operator, Level 2 is an intermediate level building operator providing operational and technical support as a member of a building operations team in Toronto. The Building Operator, Level 2 may be a sole operator of a building of moderate size and level of complexity as it relates to building systems and tenant demands. The primary objective of the Building Operator, Level 2 is to ensure that the assigned building or complex of buildings is being managed and maintained in a secure and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency. in-person position located in Toronto, ON What You Will Do:
Conduct building inspections, testing, and documentation, maintaining accurate records of building conditions, drawings, and systems Coordinate with contractors and vendors on repairs, construction projects, pricing, and maintenance service agreements Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, roofing, elevators, and life safety systems. Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS), climate controls, and computerized building systems Respond to tenant service requests and emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation, while providing excellent customer service Perform and coordinate general building maintenance, including housekeeping, litter removal, shoveling, pressure washing, and other site duties Support environmental, health and safety, insurance, and risk management activities, including inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective actions Assist with waste, recycling, hazardous materials, indoor air quality,
and environmental assessments Stay current with industry best practices, legislation, technology, and building operations standards, while working collaboratively with the operations team Support BGO’s sustainability and social responsibility goals by improving energy efficiency, managing environmental hazards, considering sustainable equipment options, and participating in community initiatives Who You Are:
Key Qualifications:
Experience using BAS and Iⅈ Minimum of 3 years direct work experience in junior or intermediate position in commercial building operations. Valid driver’s license. Other Skills and Behaviours:

Comfortable working in inclement or challenging conditions and performing moderate physical activity when required Organizational & Leadership Skills– Ensure operations records, files and documentation are maintained in an orderly, accurate and timely fashion, sound administrative and organizational skills. Decision Making Skills- Ability to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning; ability to achieve goals using logical and strategic approaches to resolving challenges.
