OverviewPosition Title:Maintenance TechnicianPosition Location:Royal Inland Hospital – Kamloops, BCThis position provides reactive and preventative maintenance to the grounds, equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and functional environment. Shifts are on a 4-on-4-off 12-hour rotation and include daytime, evening, and graveyard hours.ResponsibilitiesAssist with reactive and preventative general maintenance repair tasks as assignedMay perform a variety of tasks, including small equipment repairs, plumbing repairs, and fire life safety inspectionsPerform non-technical tasks such as delivering, receiving, painting, property inspections, and waste removalMove furniture and equipment as requiredRespond to emergency helicopter landingsRespond to Code Red emergencies while working with on-site power engineers to verify the nature of the emergency and assist where requiredComply with the work order system by interpreting work orders, performing work requests and completing work orders, as per instructionComply with relevant company policies and procedures and adhere to company safety standardsQualifications & RequirementsMust be able to perform general maintenance and repair workPhysically able to perform basic maintenance tasks,



including climbing ladders and loading/unloading materials onto or from pallets or trucksValid driver’s licenseTeam player committed to working in a quality environmentBuilding maintenance, construction and/or technician experience is a preferred assetMinor mechanical repair skills are a preferred assetAbility to operate gardening tools and equipment is a preferred assetLandscaping duties including grass cutting, edging, mulching, watering, and tending to gardens is a preferred assetAbility to mix fuel, cleaning compounds and other chemicals in a protected manner as required is a preferred assetSalary range: $27.00/hr-$30.51/hrSchedule & NoteThis is a 24/7 facility.
