Unlock potential as a Speech Language Assistant with School District No. 83, working 30 hours per week in the North Okanagan-Shuswap area. Engage directly with students through therapy and support to enhance their language skills. This position requires candidates to provide one-on-one and group treatment to students who need speech and language assistance.

You'll prepare therapeutic materials, assist in language stimulation programs, and implement treatment plans as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist. A team-oriented approach is essential, as you will regularly meet with district specialists and document student progress. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct treatment to students in various settings
Assist in preparing clinical materials for therapy




Implement speech therapy plans as guided
Record and report student progress to supervisors
Conduct screenings under the Speech Language Pathologist's direction Requirements:
High School diploma plus Speech Language Assistant diploma
6 months to 1 year relevant experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of augmentative communication systems
