Solutions Delivery Engineer I

Job Title: Solutions Delivery Engineer I
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Solutions Delivery Engineer and Customer Experience, the Solutions Delivery Engineer I is a primary technical resource for our customers. The successful candidate is a hands-on, proactive, and highly independent individual. They should be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
The Solutions Delivery
Engineer I will actively collaborate in the planning, designing, implementation, and troubleshooting efforts of our customers and liaise with our developers, project managers, and other technical resources. They should have a keen interest in innovative and creative uses of technology, a proven aptitude for troubleshooting complex solutions, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement Connexall from concept to delivery providing overall technical vision, strategy, and leadership for design and oversee the technical implementation as needed.
- Act as technical liaison in calls with the customer by articulating software application designs and assisting in developing design architecture.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot system design.
- Participate in on-site project go-live.
- Follow up with customers, vendors,
and internal teams to ensure successful implementation our software solutions.
- Collaborate with diverse groups, including internal Sales, Solutions Innovation and Design, and Solutions Development, and customers on both technical and non-technical matters.
- Assist users in system installations, setup, and customer configurations.
- Troubleshoot software related issues and assist customers with identifying hardware related issues that may be affecting the Connexall application.
- Interact with our Solutions Development team regarding software related requests and issues.
- Implement and verify clinical workflows provided by the Project Manager.
- Provide pre- and post-sales support via training, demos and online support, training sales and technical peers in customer specific applications and in the use of our products.
- Build test plans and conduct onsite testing and provide reports.
- Validate and test system configuration prior to go-live and complete customer facing documentation.
- Provide customer support by troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
- Set appointments and coordinate follow up actions to ensure systems are successfully implemented.
- Track and document hours worked.
- Document using Microsoft office tools (e.g., Visio, Excel, Word) the Connexall solution.
- Evening, weekend and holiday work to meet deadlines and to cover project related tasks.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required (Please note - a transcript will be requested)
- Fundamental understanding of system design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to implement applications from concept to deployment under guidance.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP communications and protocols.
- Familiarity with working on Windows operating systems, including basic command-line operations for extracting system-related information.
- Understanding and configuring TLS certificates on Web Servers.
- Basic understanding of SQL Server, including database navigation and query execution.
- Hands-on knowledge of system installations, setups, and customer-specific configurations.
- Troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware-related issues.
- Basic knowledge of clinical workflows and the ability to relate them to system configurations.
- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including internal sales, technical, and R&D; teams.
- Ability to clearly explain software application designs and solutions to customers.
- Commitment to supporting customers throughout the implementation and post-implementation phases.
- Basic documentation skills using Microsoft Office tools, including creation of training materials and/or user guides.
- Upon transition complete the SDE Level I training modules with a minimum score of 90% on quizzes and successfully complete the SDE Level I build exercises with minimal errors.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required to meet project deadlines.
- Customer-first attitude with the ability to handle support escalations professionally and effectively.
