Specialist - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - Pain Clinic

McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences are seeking a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R;) to join the Pain Clinic at McMaster Hospital and the Department of Medicine, Division of PM&R.; The position is best suited for a physician with advanced training in the holistic care of patients experiencing chronic pain.

The successful candidate will practice in a dedicated outpatient multidisciplinary Pain Clinic setting approximately three days per week. The practice includes patients with complex chronic pain conditions, musculoskeletal and spine disorders, and neuropathic pain syndromes. The practice will also include interventional pain management procedures appropriate to the candidate's training and expertise.

The successful candidate will be a full-time member of the Department of PM&R; at Hamilton Health Sciences and the Division of PM&R; within the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. The Division supports a robust residency training program. Teaching residents in the PM&R; residency program and medical students from the Michael G.

DeGroote School of Medicine occurs regularly through clinical activities and participation in Academic Half Day sessions. A growing fellowship program further enhances these educational opportunities.

This is a full-time faculty position for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
