Position Summary

Reporting to the VP, Information Technology, the Senior NAV Solutions Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and ongoing support of the organization's Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment and its integration with critical business systems including POS, Warehouse Management, Finance, Merchandising, eCommerce, and Store Operations platforms.

As a member of the IT team, this role serves as both a technical expert and business systems partner, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to design scalable solutions that support operational efficiency, business growth, and exceptional customer experiences.

In addition to NAV development responsibilities, the successful candidate will contribute to broader IT initiatives, systems integrations, application support, infrastructure projects, and technology transformation efforts. This role provides an opportunity to expand beyond ERP development and play a key role in the evolution of the technology landscape across Northern Reflections, Ricki's, and Cleo.

This position will be a key contributor as the organization continues to invest in its technology infrastructure, including enhancements to LS Retail POS, business applications, cloud technologies, systems integrations, and enterprise platforms that support our stores, distribution operations, and customers.

The successful candidate will also play a supporting role in the organization's ERP strategy and future transition planning, including providing technical expertise and recommendations related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Development & Business Systems

- Lead the design, development, customization, and support of Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ERP, POS, eCommerce, Warehouse Management, and third-party systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable,



maintainable technical solutions.
- Design and develop functionality supporting Finance, Merchandising, Warehouse Management, eCommerce, and Store Operations.
- Develop solutions using C/AL, AL, C#, .NET, SQL Server, APIs, and related technologies.
- Support ERP upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of Dynamics NAV, POS, inventory, and financial systems.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues in a 24/7 retail operating environment.
- Ensure high-quality development standards, documentation, and testing practices.
- Support future ERP modernization initiatives, including planning, assessment, testing, and migration activities related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

IT Systems & Cross-Functional Support

- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Operations teams on enterprise technology initiatives.
- Support application integrations and data exchange processes across the organization's technology ecosystem.
- Assist in evaluating, implementing, and supporting new business applications, tools, and technology solutions.
- Participate in IT project planning, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
- Assist with troubleshooting and support across ERP, POS, eCommerce, reporting, and other business-critical systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Support change management, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives as required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and technology partners.

Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement

- Act as a technical lead for major business systems projects and application enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze data, systems, and business processes to identify opportunities, risks, and sustainable solutions.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives and future technology roadmap planning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the IT team.
- Contribute to the ongoing modernization and optimization of the organization's technology environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience developing and supporting ERP applications in retail, finance, merchandising, warehouse management, or related environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is required.




- Hands on experience with LS Retail POS is ideal.
- Strong C/AL development experience; AL development experience is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting, upgrading, and customizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including development, implementation, upgrades, or migration projects, is considered a strong asset.
- Experience participating in a Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central migration is highly desirable.
- Strong experience developing applications using C#, .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience with SQL Server-based application development and database design.
- Working knowledge of Web Services, APIs, and systems integration methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database and Microsoft Azure services is considered a strong asset.
- Retail systems experience, including LS Retail POS, is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting interconnected business systems beyond ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, enterprise applications, data flows, and business processes.
- Exposure to infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or IT operations is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.
