PositionRegistered Nurse – Y2 Cardiac Specialty Care (Full‑Time, Days/Weekends, In Person) – Winnipeg, ManitobaSalaryAnnual salary ranges from $42,985 to $52,732 depending on experience and qualifications.Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse – Y2 Cardiac Specialty Care is responsible for providing continuous, comprehensive, coordinated, and patient‑centered nursing care to all patients. Duties include pre‑ and post‑care, procedural assistance for cardiac specialty procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, device implantation, dobutamine stress echo, cardioversion, TEEs, and related electrophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The RN will prepare and employ sterile techniques, establish IV routes, administer IV bolus and infusions, contrast media under supervision, monitor patient progress, assist in emergencies, and initiate life support measures as needed.ExperienceMinimum two (2) years recent nursing experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery, emergency, or cardiac specialty procedures / cardiology catheterization laboratory is required. Previous experience in ICU, EP Lab, device implant lab, and/or pre/post unit is considered an asset.EducationAdvanced Assessment or the WRHA resuscitation course (or equivalent) required.Successful completion of the following courses will be required: Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) Program (if no previous ICU experience)



and Concepts in Electrophysiology (when scheduled by employer or mutually agreed).Certification / Licensure / RegistrationCRNM registration required.Active participation in skilled associations (e.G., ARNM) preferred.Qualifications and SkillsScope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).If no applicants meet qualifications, employer may consider an applicant who does not meet these qualifications.Physical RequirementsDay shifts: 06:00‑17:15; Evening shifts: 15:30‑23:45; Standby on‑call shifts available.Additional RequirementsCurrent satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are required as conditions of employment.
