Nova Scotia Health seeks a dedicated Outpatient Physiotherapist to join the Pain Self-Management Program in Central Zone. Bring your expertise in diagnosing and treating chronic pain for enhanced patient outcomes. This full time permanent position supports a holistic approach to physiotherapy, focusing on assessment and individualized care plans.
You will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, develop treatment programs, and ensure effective patient education. Your leadership will also encompass supervising students and working closely with patients and their families. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
Design comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs
Educate patients about self-management techniques
Supervise physiotherapy students and aides
Actively participate in team collaboration and patient management
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
Valid membership with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapists College
Current CPR certification (BCLS)
Experience with chronic pain management an asset
Excellent teaching and client relationship skills
