Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in community setting for at least 3 months starting January 2026. Position can be continued afterwards for fixed hours per week if interested. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure and effective use of medications for patients.

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on drug therapies, managing medication distribution, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Duties
Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications prescribed.
Prepare and dispense medications, including compounding when necessary.
Provide patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapies as needed in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory management.




Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and pharmacy policies.

Requirements
Valid pharmacist license in Alberta.
Previous experience in community pharmacy setting preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
