The City of Nanaimo is looking to fill a permanent Manager position within the Development Engineering Section.

Your role will involve significant independent judgment and oversight of diverse development proposals. Collaborate with the Director of Planning & Development to address complex engineering issues impacting city growth. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and direct the Development Engineering Section operations
Conduct thorough reviews of complex development applications
Ensure adherence to regulatory engineering standards
Work with stakeholders for project collaboration
Steer creative engineering solutions for city development Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline
At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience
Demonstrated management and supervisory experience
Required professional engineer membership eligibility
Must hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License Utilize your civil engineering expertise to influence the future of Nanaimo.
