Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Transport freight efficiently from distribution centers to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security.
Use forklifts or other heavy equipment to load and unload freight when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,



and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.

Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes across multiple states or regions.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts.
Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy vehicle operation and freight transportation.
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
Robust organizational skills for maintaining logs, delivery records, and compliance documentation.
