At Atlantic, your ideas matter, your growth is supported and your work makes a real impact.The OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Manager, to ensure the maintenance inventory and other production material (consumables) are maintained in good and acceptable stock levels, by using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS – Manager Plus), regular cycle counts and Kanban System.Receives, checks and verifies all items in a timely manner and distributes received items to assigned departments. Enters receipt of the documentation into our internal purchase order system and/or Manager.Contacts Vendors/Supplies to search for new spare parts or to keep up the current maintenance inventory levels accurate. Issues Purchasing Requisition as needed to assist maintenance and other departments.What you’ll doUnderstands and follows Company, Health & Safety Policies/ProceduresFollows Maintenance SOPs, Inventory Control, Manager Plus and PO SystemMeets Food and Safety Standards and how this can affect Quality SystemConsistently work towards continuous improvement,
5S and HousekeepingLeads daily cycle count and quarterly physical counts of maintenance inventory and make the necessary adjustments as required in the CMMS SystemReconcile and manage inventory spare parts, consumables and maintain files in an organized mannerMaintain tracking records of spare parts and materials sent out for repairs or to be fabricated and ensure proper follow up with Vendor and feedback to requisitioner are done on timeEnsure critical spare parts are readily available with correct specs into M+ SystemCheck and verify all received items are correct and locate them properly into stockroomsDeliver items to the appropriate departments in a timely mannerStore items in an orderly and accessible manner in all stock locationsPrepare and set in order spare parts and materials required prior to PM work and/or weekend workIssue Purchasing Requisition to replenish stock item or buy new spare parts and materialsContact suppliers and obtain quotes prior to create new purchasing requisitionEnter receipt of the items into the internal purchase order systemComply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Atlantic Packaging Products Policies and ProceduresBack‑up for the position is the Maintenance Supervisor when required or as designated by the Maintenance ManagerOther related duties as required as assigned by Maintenance ManagerWhat you’ll bringHigh School Graduation Certificate and any trade certification would be an assetMust have an industrial/manufacturing experienceMust possess a good telephone manner and be able to read and write EnglishPrevious experience as an inventory control function and CMMS would be an assetHave basic mechanical/electrical knowledge would be an assetStrong/effective communication skills and present in a professional mannerExceptional organizational skills and aptitude for accuracy and attention to detailsKnowledge of Microsoft Office products; specifically, Excel, Word and Power PointAbility to work with minimal supervision in a high volume fast paced environmentAbility to work weekends as required for quarterly inventory countsWhat We OfferComprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (dependents included)Teamwork‑focused culture with sustainability initiatives and social eventsA culture of appreciation through a point‑based recognitionOpportunities for advancement and internal movementEducation assistance for continuous skill developmentAcademic scholarships for employees’ childrenSafety equipment and PPE support programKnowledge of advanced material considerations is an asset.Inclusion and AccessibilityAtlantic Packaging is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible and respectful workplace for all candidates.
