This role is integral to risk management and operational safety. As an Avalanche Technician, you will lead the company's avalanche safety program, working directly under the Lead Technician and Safety Managers.

Your responsibilities will include conducting avalanche forecasts, training team members, and managing safety protocols. The position requires proactive leadership to mitigate risks effectively within the mining operation. Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily avalanche forecasting and safety operations
Provide guidance on safety practices to teams
Develop risk assessment protocols and training materials
Maintain equipment and emergency response plans
Collaborate to embed safety strategies across projects

Requirements:
Must hold CAA Avalanche Level 2 certification
WorkSafeBC blasting certification required
Advanced first aid certification necessary
Familiarity with avalanche and weather forecasting
Robust team collaboration and communication skills
