Working in the front of house, you will be responsible for customer service, sales, and assisting with baking tasks. This role involves greeting customers, taking orders, serving baked goods, answering questions, and handling cash transactions, while also contributing to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area. Additionally, they may assist with basic baking tasks, such as mixing dough, checking ovens, or decorating pastries.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering questions about products, and providing recommendations.
Sales: Taking orders, weighing and pricing baked goods, and completing sales transactions.
Baking Assistance: Assist with basic baking tasks.
Hot Drinks: Although barista level experience is not required, this position will be expected to make and serve hot drinks which includes the use of an espresso machine.
Food Handling and Packaging: Preparing, portioning, wrapping, and packaging baked goods.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintaining the cleanliness of the counter, display cases, and work areas.
Inventory and Stocking: Assisting with stocking shelves, checking inventory, and potentially placing orders.
Food Safety:



Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Sandwich Production: Make sandwiches when needed to support the kitchen.

Skills and Qualities:
Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with customers.
Sales Skills: Ability to effectively sell products and suggest additional items.
Basic Math Skills: Accurate counting, weighing, and calculating prices.
Cash Handling Skills: Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide correct change.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other bakery staff.
Organization: Keeping the counter and work area clean and organized.
Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding and adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
