Join Manitoulin Transport as an independent owner operator in Kamloops, B.C. and leverage your trucking experience in a cooperative working setting. We are looking for committed owner operators to support our transportation needs at Manitoulin Transport. This prospect requires operational flexibility across five days or nights, including weekends, and the use of a compliant truck under our Fleet Insurance Program.
You will play a vital role in meeting our customer service standards. Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre and post-trip inspections of your truck
Load and unload freight following safety regulations
Ensure compliance with the National Safety Code
Deliver services as per the contract requirements
Maintain WCB coverage for operations
Requirements:
Must hold a Class 1 license with a minimum of 1 year experience
Truck must be ELD-compatible and meet specifications
Provide a valid driver’s abstract and criminal record check
Experience with forklift and deck operations is advantageous
Current ICBC insurance is required
