A Lead Childcare Educator performs all of the following duties:Program Planning and delivery:Lead the staff team to plan, develop and deliver daily activities that support and promote the health and development of the participantsPlan, organize and coordinate resources,



equipment and supplies in order to ensure smooth delivery of the programFacilitate various discussions about progress or concerns of the participantsLead team meetings and briefingsMonitor the outcomes of the program; collect feedback from participants and community partnersBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with other community service providersWrite program reports, collect statistics and keep other program related documentations in placeCommunicate and promote program information both internally and externallyPerform duties as Licensing manager of the program: implementing policies, protocols, writing reports, performing inspections, and work with Licensing officerStaff and Volunteer Management:Actively participate in recruiting, selecting, orienting and coaching staff and volunteers of the program in consultation with the Program Coordinator and/ Program DirectorProvide reference and guidance to staff and volunteers of the programming interpreting relevant policies and proceduresManage staff schedules and arrange backups to ensure the licensing/ratio requirement of the programThis position may supervise Infant/Toddler Educators, Special Needs Educators, Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), ECE Assistants, School Age Care Workers, Scholl Age Care Assistants, Community Program Workers and Community Program Assi stants in the teamABOUT THE POSITIONUnder the direction and supervision of the Children’s Education Coordinator and /or Program Director, the Lead Childcare Educator is in‑charge for the day‑to‑day operation at the program location and plays a leadership role in the team to organize and direct daily activities. The Lead Childcare Educator is also actively engaged in planning, developing,



implementing and evaluating the program.
