Azars’ Music School is looking for a qualified, friendly, patient, and dedicated Drum and Guitar Teacher to join our team in North Vancouver.

We are seeking an experienced teacher who is comfortable teaching private and/or group lessons to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field
Solid proficiency in drums and guitar
Familiarity with RCM and School of Rock teaching approaches
Previous experience teaching children
Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
Patient, friendly, encouraging, and professional teaching style
Strong communication skills with students, parents, and administration
Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible
Must be available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Preferably living in North Vancouver or a nearby area

Responsibilities:
Teach private and/or group drum and guitar lessons
Teach students from beginner to advanced levels
Develop lessons based on each student’s age,



ability, interests, and goals
Teach technique, rhythm, music reading, theory, improvisation, and performance skills
Prepare students for recitals, festivals, auditions, and performances when needed
Provide explicit weekly assignments and practice expectations
Track students’ progress and communicate professionally with parents and the school
Create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment
Help students develop confidence, musicianship, and a love of music
