Responsibilities

- Assist licensed opticians with patient consultations, frame selections, and lens options to ensure optimal vision solutions.
- Support the preparation and fitting of eyewear, including measuring for proper fit and comfort.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about eyewear products and optical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, appointments, and sales transactions using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Help manage inventory by organizing frames, lenses, and accessories while ensuring stock levels are maintained.




- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance to promote long-term satisfaction.
- Contribute to a welcoming store environment by supporting retail sales efforts and promoting our optical products.

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in an optical or related healthcare program with a strong interest in eye care professions.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology related to vision and eye health.
- Previous laboratory experience or optical experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques and customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
