Role summary The Production Manager monitors footprint plans for Disney / Netflix / Amazon productions, helps the productions get the best from their facilities and is responsible for sourcing, planning and contracting resale to maximise revenue. Each of these roles is primarily responsible for a specific studio (Pinewood or Shepperton). Netflix, Amazon and Disney decide the space each of their productions will receive, and this role works with the productions on the ground to advise and support on the use of these spaces, enters this info into the studio booking system to give productions access to stages/facilities, uses the info to inform resale opportunities and manage ground rents.

These two roles work in close collaboration, each leading the sales effort with their share of UK Line Producers and UPMs to strengthen our relationship, gather intelligence, selling unleased space and generate resale. In addition, the role will maintain all accompanying support tools (e.g. quote builder, rate cards, SBS bookings, forecast sheet).

Principle accountabilities

- Proactively track, advise and influence the use of space by Disney, Amazon and Netflix to help Disney, Amazon and Netflix productions get best use of the facilities and maximise the resale opportunity. Work closely with Disney/Netflix/Amazon in-house “space planners”.
- Recce, prepare and negotiate quotes and execute contracting for resale productions.
- Provides full production management service for resale productions based at either Pinewood or Shepperton.
- Lead the relationships with a share of UK line producers and key crew to develop resale leads and gather intelligence. Takes direction from the Global Business Development Manager on prioritisation of opportunities and leads.
- Support space planning through reporting of availability and regular calls with Amazon/ Netflix / Disney.
- At Pinewood, works in collaboration with the Studio Operations manager to assess Production ground rent requirements. Negotiating pricing and issuing contracts.
- Maintains systems and reporting tools in relation to tracking productions, quotes and rate cards (including tracking Disney/Netflix/Amazon productions via SBS)
- Manages the availability and booking of location shoots and meeting/events space. Liaises with Studio Operations manager to arrange logistics and operational support.
- Manages the booking,



negotiating and contracting of U stage at Pinewood.
- Manages the Studio Production Assistant
- Manages the onboarding and offboarding of productions to ensure highest levels of customer experience including: welcome meetings, welcome and leaving gifts, wrap lunch etc.
- The role is responsible for ensuring internal tracking documents are live and communicating updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience, by developing strong relationships with production teams and clients, proactively resolving operational issues throughout the production occupancy
- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue across studio facilities, support services, ground rents and resale opportunities, whilst balancing operational requirements of resident productions
- Provide guidance, training and support to Studio Production Assistants and junior team members

Nature and scope Reporting to the Head of Production management, the Studio Production Manager ensures that we have a strong relationship with production teams to allow us to track their footprints in the way they are utilising space at Pinewood or Shepperton. They would influence the use of space to ensure that the scope for potential resale revenue is at a maximum. Role holders would identify and highlight areas in which there is opportunity for resale to take place through maintaining relationships with UK line producers.

Planning horizons would be up to 6 months ahead to recognise where resale opportunity may be.

Skills And Experience

Essential criteria

- GCSE or equivalent education
- Experience of working with senior clients in a commercial arena
- Familiar with the film production process and what this means for studio needs (costume, carpentry, stunts, etc.)
- Experience working in a client services and relationship role
- Experience of sales roles, including the account management of long-lasting clients
- Experience working within film, television, studio operations or production environments




- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Well-developed MS Office skills
- Commercially astute with the ability to understand P&L; implications / basic business finance
- Ability to be work flexibly and to tight deadlines
- Robust attention to detail with analytical mindset
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
- Lateral thinking problem solver

- Previous experience of working with or on productions
