Job DescriptionPosition: Water Resources Engineering EITLocation: Burnaby, BCThe ideal successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working on stormwater design projects and a general understanding of civil construction. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and clients. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy, and enthusiasm for getting things done! The successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery of water resources infrastructure mostly to municipal, provincial and mining sector clients.ResponsibilitiesDesign of civil systems associated with stormwater facilitiesWriting of technical memorandums and reportsPerforming construction inspections and field review memorandumsPreparing documentation for design projects and reportsAssisting with the preparation of construction cost estimatesAssisting with the preparation of project specifications and contract documentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications1+ years of relevant experience in stormwater infrastructure designEligible for registration as an EIT with EGBCMaster's Degree in Water ResourcesExperience in civil engineering,
hydraulic modelling, planning, design and construction inspectionExperience with Civil3D, PCSWMM and ArcGIS softwareWorking knowledge of contract documentation, including MMCD and CCDC/NMSWorking knowledge of green infrastructure: ponds, wetlands, bioswales, raingardens, etc.Working knowledge of stormwater infrastructure in a Municipal environment, with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) and in the Mining sectorExcellent written skills needed for technical reportsProficient with MS Office SuiteValid BC Class V Driver's LicenseExcellent attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clientsComfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional InformationRelocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.Compensation: CAD 60000 - CAD 77000 yearlyWork Location Model: HybridAs an Equal Prospect Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
