Join the Cowichan Valley Regional District as an Engineering Assistant in the Utilities Division. This full time position combines technical support and administrative tasks to enhance utilities infrastructure management. As a temporary Engineering Assistant, you will provide vital support to the Senior Manager - Utilities.
This role requires four years of relevant experience and post-secondary education in technical fields. Your day-to-day tasks include data collection, field sampling, and maintaining records that contribute to the effective management of water and waste systems. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and operation of utilities infrastructure
Process applications and respond to inquiries
Monitor and input operational data accurately
Draft correspondence and maintain asset inventories
Provide financial support services for the division Requirements:
Secondary school graduation plus relevant post-secondary education
Four years of administrative or technical support experience
WHMIS Certificate and First Aid Level 1 with CPR C
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
