Camp Counsellor (22 positions)Reports to: Program and Camp CoordinatorLocation: 7150 Montrose Road, Niagara Falls ON L2H 3N3Hours: 35-40 hours/weekHourly Wage: $19/hourDuration: June 29, 2026 – August 21, 2026Position OverviewReporting to the Program and Camp Coordinator, Camp Counsellors are responsible for the care and safety of children, youth and adults on the autism spectrum. They are scheduled to work 1:1 or 2:1 with participants and help their assigned camper(s) participate in the scheduled activities of the program.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all participants in their care have a fun, safe and rewarding experienceSupervise and actively engage assigned camper(s) throughout the camp dayParticipate in and support camper(s) in daily swimming activitiesProvide personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, and lifting when requiredWork with Lead staff and other camp counselors to support campers with behavior challengesCustomize and adapt activities throughout the session to meet individual needsEnsure personal items belonging to participants are accounted forCommunicate daily updates with families of participants in their careWrite daily/weekly reports for participants in careProvide input for reports of responsible incidents and occurrences as neededRotate weekly between different campers, rooms and activitiesEnsure full compliance with Autism Ontario policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality of all participant recordsAssist with cleanup of programs at the end of the season, including storing supplies and equipment, identifying broken equipment, and inventory countBe responsible for the safety and security of staff and participantsFollow Code of Conduct and Operational Policies of Autism OntarioFollow all Ontario Camp Association (OCA) standardsRespond to First Aid and emergencies as requiredMaintain health and safety standards by keeping program areas safe,
