Base pay may vary based on skills, experience, location, and business needs.Department OverviewHR Corporate Transformation & Operations supports 75,000 active and 20,000 retired colleagues, delivering centralized support and continuous process improvement.Position SummaryLead payroll activities by coordinating daily term deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met accurately and on time.Liaison with Yearend Payroll Manager and Payroll Team to coordinate deliverables and communicate updates.Support new initiatives through collaboration with team and business partners during implementation and completion on a timely basis.Team ResponsibilitiesBalance all year-end tax slips and complete year-end government filings in compliance with CRA, Revenu Quebec, and IRS regulations.Distribute T4, RL1, T4A, RL2, NR4, RCA, 1042‑S, 1099‑R government tax slips and the T2200 and TP64‑3 forms.Reconcile and maintain regulatory compliance across Canadian and US jurisdictions.Support expatriates and globally mobile employee payroll activities.Participate in internal and external audits.Provide customized payroll and year‑end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team.Manage end‑to‑end Board of Directors’ payrolls.Identify, review, and prepare POIs for Group 1‑8 retirees.Review and correct taxes from the Retiree Demographic report and the US Tax Data Query.Respond to employee inquiries through the Helpdesk.Specific AccountabilitiesEnsure integrity of Workday data through balancing tax slip boxes after each pay cycle.Prepare manual tax slips, including 102 Regulation requirements for cross‑border commuters from the US.Prepare amended tax slips,



including submission to government agencies.Support payroll accounting year‑end data to ensure accurate recording and processing.Assist in creation and implementation of new pay components, including testing and validation in test and production environments.Administer Board of Director's quarterly fees and RSU payments.Action variance and exemption reports to correct all data integrity errors.Process POI (retirees) Group 1‑8 balancing and uploads.Perform processes and functions for expatriate payroll.Support processing of shadow payrolls.Provide accurate and timely resolutions to inquiries from internal and external business partners.Review and validate accuracy of annual PIER reports from CRA and RQ.Process specific payments, both manual off‑cycles and using Workday EIB templates.Process cheque reversals and other year‑end adjustments due to data integrity issues.Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve operational efficiencies.Cross‑train and shadow YE Team to increase knowledge during critical periods.Provide payroll data information to business partners.Participate in ad‑hoc requests and projects.QualificationsPayroll Compliance Practitioner Designation (PCP) or working towards completion.Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and US regulatory requirements (CRA, Revenu Quebec, IRS).Sound knowledge of Workday and principles of Resolution Management and Data Integrity Reconciliation.Solid Excel skills.Strong communication skills.Strong analytical skills.Our Total Rewards PackageBase salary, variable compensation, health and well‑being advantages, savings and retirement programs, paid time off, banking benefits, career development, and reward and recognition programs.Additional InformationThis opportunity is subject to provincial regulation for employment purposes.
