The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers at the checkout. The role involves processing purchases, handling payments, counting cash and keeping the checkout area clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service, making them feel welcome.
- Gain an intermediate understanding and expert daily skills of POS and Cashier Systems, and being able to use them quick without errors.
- Scan and accurately process grocery and other purchases.
- Accurately accept cash, debit, credit, and other forms of payment.
- Apply coupons, promotions, loyalty discounts, and gift cards accurately.
- Identify pricing discrepancies and coordinate with other departments to correct them.
- Provide receipts and correct change when required.
- Answer basic customer questions and assist with inquiries.
- Bag groceries carefully and efficiently.
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Follow store policies and cash-handling procedures.
- Report pricing or product issues to a supervisor.
- Assist with other basic supermarket duties and handle other issues as required.

Pay: $17.60 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 43.0 per week
