A career within Operations and Procurement consulting services provides the opportunity to work with clients to improve value within their businesses and the community through procurement practices and safeguard their sources of supply. Our clients are seeking our services to help improve their procurement and sourcing activities by understanding their business, analysing their spending, understanding supplier markets, and integrating technology systems to identify opportunities for supporting their business goals. In addition, our clients also need our services to discover the best ways to reduce costs for procurement of goods and services through the integration of strategies that go beyond price reductions. You’ll work with clients across sectors – from government and public sector organizations to private sector organizations in different parts of the economy in these critically timely challenges.The OpportunityUnderstanding and experience of procurement and sourcing, covering sourcing to contract, procurement to pay, contract management and supplier managementUnderstand end‑to‑end source‑to‑pay (budgeting, planning, sourcing, procurement, payment)Familiar with spend analysis and understanding levers impacting procurement cost savingsAble to identify, track and report key procurement metrics to reduce cost and improve effectivenessAble to generate and have experience in implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies such as: TCO, supplier collaboration, design to cost, risk management, price leverage, organisational design, operating model, global sourcing, digital procurement, etc.Able to assess and drive transformational improvements across procurement and sourcing organisationsAble to perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarkingFamiliar with forecasting price and market trendsAble to develop negotiation strategies for procurement process, as well as contract negotiations to secure profitable deals (time, cost)Analyse client’ need for procurement and sourcing to identify business problems leading to developing solutions that result in cost improvements,
and driving operational efficiencies within the procurement functionConduct workshops and training sessions to promote best practices in procurementEstablish credibility with our clients by demonstrating expertise and knowledge of various aspects of procurement transformationLead the delivery of large engagements, leading a team of 2‑5 from initial assessment and business case to full implementation and value creation. This includes the management of engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgetingAct as a subject matter expert on client projectsDevelop and maintain trusted relationships with decision makers at key clientsContribute to pursuits and proposal development including architecting creative approaches and methodologiesCollaborate with PwC colleagues across other lines of services globally to identify best suitable solutions to service our clients’ needsMentor and guide team members in best practices for process design and implementationDevelop and deliver training and share knowledge from across the global network with our teamActively participate in staff recruitment activitiesWhat You’ll BringAn interest in continuous upskilling for a digital world. Procurement and relevant technological trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work5+ years’ experience in leadership roles of a procurement function or similar experience with a leading management consulting firm, demonstrating working knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing, procurement function strategy and operating model development and implementation, procurement function process and technology design and implementationPreferably have experience with leading procurement technology (e.G. SAP S4 Sourcing & Procurement, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass,

The salary range for this position is $112,400 - $162,400. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
